In photographing flowers I have found that their colour overpowers the beauty of their design and structure. In this portfolio I have removed the colour and have sought to emphasise the underlying texture and and shape of the flowers. Each image consists of multiple shots taken at different focal lengths and then merged using the Zerene Stacker “focus stacking” software. The images were then converted to black & white in Silver Effex Pro and adjusted further in Photoshop. A selection of them have been published in The Black & White Photography magazine (https://www.blackandwhitephotographymag.co.uk/)
