Manhattan, New York

I find Manhattan one of the most architecturally exciting places to photograph. Initially I focussed on the wealth of art-deco buildings but many of the new buildings, such as the Oculus, offer great photographic opportunities. These are a selection of photos taken over the years on my visits to New York.

Lantern House , W 18th Street New York. London Designer, Thomas Heatherwick's first US residential project is built either side and below the High Line. A new view on bay windows repeated.

The Empire Diner at 10th & 22nd street is an iconic art deco diner in Manhattan. It was opened in 1946 and refurbished in 1976.

Ellis Island NYC. The processing of applications for immigration into the USA from 1900-1954 took place in this elegant Registry Room.

The form of the tower was inspired by the radiator design of Chrysler cars.
