Sussex Coastal Landscapes

Seaford, where I live, is on a beautiful stretch of Sussex coast from Hastings to Brighton with the South Downs National Park behind it. These photos represent some of the sights of this area.

This is tower No 74 of 103 towers built to withstand Napolean when he threatened to cross the channel in 1803. This one was the last in the chain and completed too late (1810) to be useful as Napolean had been defeated in the battle of Trafalgar i 1805. It has had a varied history but is now the Seafird Museum and one of the few towers open to the public.
