I have been interested in photography for a long time but only seriously since my retirement. During that time I have become an Associate of the RPS. My photography has been influenced by my professional life as a research biologist as I have taken large numbers of photos of flora and fauna and landscapes. Recently, I have used focus stacking and Silver Efex Pro to produce images of flowers that reveal their structure and texture. Another project was to have my superceded CanonEOS 10 to take near infra-red photos. More recently, because of advancing years,I have changed from heavy DSLRs and lenses to a Canon Mirroless M system involving a M6 markII and an M3 converted to infrared.I enjoy taking landscapes and in this regard I am lucky to live on the coast in East Sussex, a location that provides a large number of photographic opportunities.
